Women are more educated.

That is not any (feminist) statement. It is 'mere ghar ki kahani'. Both my younger sisters and mom are more educated than me and my dad. Both of us are graduates and 'both of them three' are post-graudtaes. And as two of them are MBA's so we often get to hear "petty mortal engineers" and "typical engineers" and "what is wrong with your type of people" and a few others.

I believe that this mentality is ingrained in my sisters. When we were kids, all of a sudden she grew a bit taller than I. My dad started telling me that as my sister had grown taller so she had obviously become the elder of us two. I always thought that was a joke, till one day when, I was helping her learn riding a bicycle and I scolded her for pedalling in opposite direction, she slapped me and said, "I am the elder one. Talk to me with respect".

Shocked as I was, more because of her behavior than the resounding slap, I told that to my parents and they opposite to my expectations burst out laughing. Probably my dear sis has not grown out of that mode. Re-growing MUCH taller than her is perhaps not enough so may be I should uphold the eternal glamour of the men in my family and go for studies that equals theirs if not more.
